Matthias is a highly experienced and results-driven policy and project professional with a strong track record across strategic reform projects, stakeholder engagement, and the development and implementation of complex legislation. His deep expertise spans government operations, regulatory design and cross-sector coordination and he brings a systems-informed, solution-focused approach to every initiative.
Currently serving as Principal Policy Officer, Matthias leads the implementation of the Biosecurity Act 2025, which involves managing and coordinating strategic policy development aligned to state priorities, high-level stakeholder engagement, Cabinet processes and facilitation of legislative drafting.
