Our Strength, Our Story, Our Success: Advancing Aboriginal Leadership

On Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 August, the 2025 Aboriginal Staff Forum was held as a professional development, wellbeing and cultural celebration event for Aboriginal employees in South Australia’s public sector.

Designed for Aboriginal employees at all levels, the forum supported participants to engage through collaboration, relationship building, cultural activities and connection.

Attendees accessed interactive sessions, learned from colleagues, built relationships and acquired tools to support their professional development and help navigate work-life balance.

Participants heard from public sector leaders in panel discussions and engaged in breakout sessions facilitated by experienced professionals from across the sector.

The forum also featured speakers from Super SA, Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) and Smart (salary sacrifice), who provided information on how these services can support Aboriginal employees.
