Jay Weatherill, AO, Director of Development at Minderoo Foundation and leader of the Thrive by Five campaign since 2020, will deliver this year’s Don Dunstan Oration. Weatherill, who served as Premier of South Australia from 2011 to 2018 and was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2021 for his distinguished service to South Australia and early childhood education, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this pivotal topic.

In his address, Our Generational Opportunity: How Policy and Politics Can Fix Australia’s Early Childhood System, Weatherill will delve into early childhood education, highlighting the pressing need for reform and the steps policymakers can take to create a brighter future for the youngest Australians.

Don’t miss this chance to gain valuable perspectives from one of Australia’s influential voices on early childhood advocacy. Be part of the conversation that can shape the future for generations to come. Commissioner for Public Sector Employment Erma Ranieri will facilitate a Q&A with the audience, making this event a unique opportunity for engagement on an issue that impacts us all.
