IPAA SA’s On the Couch sessions are a series of informal interviews with key leaders of the public sector. In their current roles, these leaders are seen as having a high degree of responsibility and influence over the future of the public sector and the people who work within it.

These interviews are aimed at looking at the person behind the role and focus on their interests, influences, leadership styles, career highlights, journey, aspirations, values and what they see as their priorities in their current role and insights for the future.

Our guest for this event was Ms Dascia Bennett,  Chief Executive of Super SA. During this session, Ms Bennett shared some of the highlights of her career as well as her insights and goals for her current role.

Dascia Bennett

With over 20 years’ experience in the superannuation industry working in the profit-to-members sector, Das has held senior executive roles with a number of leading industry and public sector funds (including Australian Super, REST, EISS and NGS Super). Das’s experience includes leading customer focused areas of business, including employer and member services, business development, brand and product management, operations and key stakeholder management.
Prior to working in the finance industry, Das worked in advisory and consultancy roles for the Federal and State Government in education and regional development.

Das is an Independent Director on the SA LGA Mutual Board (Insurance Services).

Das holds a Public Policy degree (Flinders University), a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), a Certificate in Superannuation Fund Management, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and the Australian School of Business (University of NSW) AGSM Executive Program.
