IPAA SA warmly invites you to a frank and engaging conversation with Crown Solicitor, Lucinda Byers, whose work spans public sector governance, integrity and complex decision-making. Lucinda brings a practical, steady perspective to the legal challenges faced by public sector leaders, shaped by years of advising agencies through scrutiny, reform and change.

In this instalment of our On the Couch series, held under the Chatham House Rule, Lucinda will reflect on her career journey, what drew her to public sector law, and the experiences that have shaped how she approaches complex, high-stakes advice. She’ll explore what good governance looks like under pressure, the balance between risk, accountability, and sound judgment, and the realities of supporting leaders amid difficult, often competing demands.

Expect a thoughtful, honest and practical conversation, followed by a live Q&A where your questions will help guide the discussion.
