Design Thinking (also known as Human-Centred Design) is a practical, evidence-based methodology that helps organisations better understand user needs, solve complex problems and design more effective services, policies and processes that deliver better outcomes for customers, stakeholders and the community.
In this course, you will explore:
- The role of innovation for individuals, organisations and society
- The 5-Stage Design Thinking Stanford d.School process
- Tools and Techniques to support Design Thinking, such brainstorming, affinity diagrams, prototyping, experimentation etc.
- “Hands-on” application case studies to provide application and skills practice opportunities
- Problem-solving through Design Thinking
- Application of Design Thinking to other areas such as strategy, social issues, organisational and operations issues
