This workshop will help you develop a writer’s mindset and learn to use critical thinking to improve your writing. It will explore:
- what you are really doing when you are writing at work
- the system you work in and who you are writing for
- how to plan for a clear outcome
- critical thinking – what it is and how to use it, and
- critical thinking tools and tips to improve your writing.
Activities and discussions will use scenarios based on writing cabinet submissions, Ministerial correspondence, briefings and proposals.
People will walk away with practical tips they can start using immediately, and as critical thinking skills can be applied in all aspects of work and life, the benefits of this course will extend beyond just writing.
